CHEAK is an artist originating from Florida who began his artistic journey through graffiti and skateboarding as a youth. An internationally acclaimed graffiti artist, he has created his public works in over 10 countries as well as 3 continents, and is the newest and youngest addition to the world renowned graffiti crew MSK.
A professional animator and illustrator, his work transcends the realms of graffiti and visual art to create a unique blend of style and authenticity. Cheak has done client work for companies such as Nickelodeon, Viacom, Venmo, Atlanta Arts and Entertainment, and LinkedIn, as well as branding campaigns for Corona, Honda, Coors light, Starbucks, Fortnite and Pepsi. He has been senior illustrator and talent curator for the Infamous Magazine, a graffiti-art centric printed publication, for the last two years. He has a traditional background in illustration and painting, and received a bachelor’s of fine arts degree from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2018.
CHEAK is currently transitioning from the world of illustration into a contemporary fine art practice, while simultaneously continuing his endless journey as a graffiti writer. His most recent works focus on his iconic devil characters, morphing and abstracting them from his graffiti into something completely new and refreshing. His usage of color and composition is bold and impactful, while interweaving themes of chaos and motion to convey figures frozen in action. His work seamlessly blends elements of both graffiti and modern illustration to produce a style never before seen, and all his own. He has shown his work at Martinez gallery (NYC), Cateye Creative and Atlanta Worldwide gallery (Atlanta), and the Museum of Graffiti (Miami).
